Curtis Jones has been in fine form this season and Steven Gerrard believes he will become a key player for the team in the future.
Liverpool legend and current Premier League leader and Al-Ittifaq boss Steven Gerrard believes Curtis Jones can develop into a dynamic player for the Reds in the long term, given his increasingly impressive form this season.
“I’ve always known that with the right guidance and support he could be a key player in the team,” Gerrard was once Jones’ coach in Liverpool’s youth system, told The Times . “And I think he’s ready to be that key player.”
“He is a kid who has come through. As a youngster has great technical talent, individual ability and great control of the ball. He can do that consistently and he can improve a lot. The important question for every kid at this age is, do they have the hunger and the drive? Are they willing to make sacrifices to be consistent?”
“Curtis still has a lot to learn and a lot to improve on. I’m excited to see what Arne Schlott can do to take him to the next ยูฟ่าเบท level. He’s still a young player. Rafa (Benitez) has had to take me to the next level in the past and what’s exciting for me as an observer is that Arne seems like he can really lift Curtis.”
“If he can do that, then we have a top player in our team,” Gerrard said.
